Free Beer

I bet that headline caught your attention.  Today I traveled from Chicago, Illinois to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Milwaukee is home of Miller-Coors beer.  Maria and I signed up for the one hour free tour of the factory.

The tour started with a video that tells how in 1855, German immigrant Frederick Miller purchased a brewery and brought his recipe for beer from Germany.  After the video we toured the brewery where approximately 200,000 cases of beer are packaged daily. The final stop was at the Miller "Inn" where  each person is given three full glasses of beer to taste for FREE.  I didn't realize how many beers Miller manufactures.  Click here and see if you recognize the names.  For example, one of the samples today was Leinekugel's Berry Weiss, which I had never heard of.

Tomorrow, if we have time, we are going to the Jelly Belly factory for a free tour and FREE samples before visiting a national park in Indiana.

When on vacation there are lots of fun FREE things you can do.
