1000 FREE Airline Miles

When we arrived at the Portland airport Thanks Again was trying to enroll travelers by offering a $5.00 gift card to Starbucks to sign up online.  But I also found out I can get 1000 airline miles for free by enrolling in mobile offers.  You may be wondering, "What is ThanksAgain?"

Thanks again is a program where you register your credit card or debit card and earn bonus miles at participating locations and retailers.  The Thanks Again program allows you to earn Bonus Rewards in three easy ways –
  1. At the Airport – Earn extra miles or points when you Shop, Dine, or Park at more than 100 participating airports. Certain airports offer extra miles for Parking, some for Dining, and many offer all three!
  2. Neighborhood Businesses – Earn at thousands of Neighborhood Businesses. We allow you to earn bonus miles in places where miles traditionally have not been offered, such as your local dry cleaner.
  3. Local Attractions – Be a “tourist in your own town” to take advantage of bonus opportunities, as well as when you visit other cities. Check out our participating museums, resorts, sports venues, aquariums, zoos, theme parks, and other popular attractions.
Register any credit or debit card in your wallet to earn airline miles automatically when you use a registered credit or debit card at Airports, Neighborhood Businesses, and at Local Attractions throughout North America.

Check the Merchant Locator for a list of participating Thanks Again locations.

Earn Up to 5 Miles/Points per Dollar Spent!*

*Bonuses are based on each member’s qualifying spending at participating Thanks Again businesses over successive 90 day periods, beginning with the date of enrollment. Members may qualify only once for each bonus level every 90 days. The maximum total bonus amount is 25,000 miles over each 90 day period.

So if you would like to earn some free bonus miles from Thanks Again, here is step-by-step directions.

Register with the appropriate link:
US AIRWAYS MILES: https://secure.thanksagain.com/usairways/register.aspx
UNITED MILES: https://secure.thanksagain.com/united/default.aspx
DELTA MILES: https://secure.thanksagain.com/skymiles/register.aspx

  • Register for a new Thanks Again account.  Existing users, you can sign in and follow the same steps.  I assume you will earn miles from the program you are registered with.  If you want you could try to register a new account for a different program, or an account for each program.  Love to hear feedback if you do.
  • Once you’re done registering, click on “My Account”.
  • Look for a small link under your billing info that says “Click Here to Join Thanks Again Offers.” Click on that link.  You will now see the offer for 1,000 Free United Miles.  You will have to enroll your phone via text message and register a visa credit card with this offer. They will track the spending on that card and you’ll earn Thanks Again points if you shop through participating retailers.
  • Once you’re registered, bonus miles should deposit in 4-6 weeks to your Thanks Again account.
Note: It takes an additional 4-6 weeks to post from Thanks Again account to your United miles account
  • Additional Notes:
    • You are enrolling your phone number and registered card directly with Visa. Thanks Again is just a partner. Visa already has your personal info, they just want your permission to track your spending for marketing and sales purposes, so they can send directed ads to your phone.
    • You can always opt out of the text messages by replying back via text “STOP”
I was already registered with Thanks Again for Alaska Airline miles.  When I came to the United offer registration page I just used my cell phone number and a different visa credit card.  Registered just fine.

ENJOY YOUR FREE MILES!!!

My friend, Steve, loves Delta.  He and I have talked about the advantages/disadvantages of this airline. While I am not a huge Delta fan I never turn down free miles.
