Saturday is National Make a Difference Day. I think by now my readers know how I feel about volunteering (See September 11, 2012 blog). Saturday is the largest national day of community service. If you are not the type that normally volunteers why not change that this Saturday? If you wonder how or where you can start, it is as easy clicking here and entering your zip code and the distance you are willing to travel. Within 5 miles of my house there were 5 different opportunities that ranged from helping at a children's book drive to helping at a fundraiser walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
People can accomplish amazing things when they take on the problems they see in their community.
